Lone Star Paint & Quarter Horses is proud to be a family owned and operated business. In 1980 we purchased 70 acres of beautiful land in Lockhart, Texas. From that day on we started building our farm. Our horses have plenty of pasture to roam, and for the last 25+ years we have been breeding foundation Quarter Horse stallions to quality broodmares to produce people friendly, athletic, good-minded horses. The same efforts have been put into breeding our APHA horses. We've raised over 100 great horses and we look forward to raising the next 100!

MORE ABOUT THE FARM

 

Here at the farm we do more than just breed horses. We breed our 10+ cows and 20+ goats that share the pastures with our horses. Being the animal lovers we are, we have many rescues including horses, dogs, and cats. Our goal has always been to provide a peaceful environment for these wonderful animals to thrive. Feel free to contact us about our other livestock with any question you may have!

    The man, the myth, the legend — Billy Bob has been a part of our family for over 10 years breeding the most adorable offspring.

    Our sweet and peaceful gelding — Simon spends his time hanging with his best pal Festus the donkey and grazing on the lush pasture.

    The farm donkey — Festus loves hanging with his pal Simon and developing several crushes on all the beautiful mares.

    The mini stallion! We rehomed this little guy in 2018 to his forever home!

  • Patty

    One of our many dogs here at the farm, Patty is a wonderful Miniature Australian Shepherd dog. We bred her for the first time in 2020 and here she is with two of her puppies Foxy and Merly.
